COLONIAL HEIGHTS — Delegate Mike Cherry (R-Colonial Heights) released the following statement regarding arrests made this morning at Colonial Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Center:
“I spoke this morning with State Health Commissioner Dr. Karen Shelton regarding the twelve arrests made at Colonial Heights Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The Virginia Department of Health has staff on the ground to ensure that all residents are receiving proper care and will remain involved to ensure that the proper individuals are placed in leadership positions moving forward. I will continue to monitor this situation in the coming weeks and months.”
